Carol Wade was born in Giles County and grew up on her parents, John and Patsy Hamlett's farm in Lynnville, where they farmed and raised dairy cattle. She is married to Mike Wade and they have 2 sons, John, who is married to Brynn Pylant, and Bob, who is married to Amber Stewart. Mike and Carol have five grand-daughters.
Carol is a member of the Lynnville Community Club, PACE Car Club, Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 60, and the Kiwanis Club. She has been an employee of the Giles County Clerk's office since 1974, and was elected as the Clerk in 2002. She and her family have opened a new business in Giles County, The Granite Guyz, specializing in granite and marble countertops and vanities.
